Slow Morning

A bit of a late night last night, what with the impromptu photo-shoot for Non-working Monkey. It’s probably why I’m feeling a little tired this morning. I crawled out of bed at an unreasonably late hour, though once I was into my thong, I felt a bit better and managed a hundred push ups before breakfast.

The Chipster’s morning routine rarely changes, though in the warmer weather I do occasionally go running. Breakfast is the most important meal of my day, which is why I’m an Alpen man. My only problem is that I don’t like raisins and have to pick them out of the dish before I add the milk. I guess I’m just a man who loves his nuts. I’m eating walnuts even as I type this. At the end of the month, there’s usually a jar of raisins which I never know what to do with.

Why I’m telling you all this, I really don’t know. It's a real blogger's post: I read the paper. Labour are in trouble. Polished my shoes. The dog has something wrong with his bum. I went to the shops and saw Ted. Not seen Ted in ten years. His wife's now a man and likes to play darts...

I suppose I’m feeling a bit uninspired. I’ll post something later on – possibly the concluding part of the first chapter of my autobiography. But in the meantime, why don’t you just admire my picture again?

Hi Chip: I am a woman who also likes nuts, so am here to tell you that Sainsbury's do a nut and nut mix, without the fruit. Result! It's organic too, so even better for preserving that fantastic bod of yours.

A mine of useful information, me........ oh, and thanks for visiting my blog BTW, nice to meet you.

What are the odds! My friend Tetrapilotomos - not pronounced Throatwarbler Mangrove - is very busy researching pre-assyrian raisinphobia, these days. He says
Dr. Christine Wu at the University of Chicago does speak the truth when claiming that raisins protect the teeth. It's okay that raisins stick to the teeth because this prevents bacteria from adhering to the teeth and gums. Moreover, in spite of their sugary taste, raisins contain five different phytochemicals that help to prevent caries and gum disease.
"And", says Tetrapilotomos, "according to one of my absolute trustworthy sources, raisons are nuts' best friend.

Swearing Mother, it's nice to see you here. And that information has made my day. A nut and nut mix? So no more would I spent ten minutes each morning picking out the raisins. I'll add you to my blogroll immediately for the gem.

Non-working, I understand it now. Employed, just not functioning. Now I get it.

Sean, I thought as much about raisins. The trouble is, I'd prefer the taste of bacteria than the taste of raisins. But if raisins are nuts best friends, perhaps a nut and nut mix is breaking up a fine friendship. Now I've got a moral dilemma. What do I do?

(What am I talking about? I'm actually thinking about a raisin's feelings? If they had any feelings, they wouldn't hide beneath the banana and make me gag when I eat them. Little would-be prune buggers.)

Tetrapilotomos just signaled that he will check this blooming difficult and enigmatic conundrum, in order to discover the essential inherent interior essence which is hidden in the root of the kernel of everything.

I shall keep you in the loop, Chip.
