Chip Dale's List of the Top UK Blogs
I was disappointed over the weekend to see that Chip Dale's Diary didn't make it to Iain Dale's list of the top UK blogs. I didn't even make it to the list of the top Welsh blogs, which I would say is certainly something given that most of the Welsh blogs I've read are written in Welsh.
I've been wondering what I could do to cheer others up who have suffered this terrible hurt. At first, my mind naturally turned towards some kind of charity strip. But then I thought I'd simply start my own list. Entry should be for UK blogs only that didn't get included in Iain Dale's book. I was thinking of having my own logo, which I personally think is much better than a mention in some poxy book for overachievers.
For those of you who don't like the word 'crap', I've got more polite versions.
I have to go out today but when I get back, I'll start collecting names. I'm sure there are at least 500 good blogs out there that got overlooked.

Fantastic! And with every logo you get a free giggle and sniff of lube.
Excellent idea...my blog is CRAP but could pay you in thongs to say its not.
Mopsa, that's the idea. It's the Chipster's creed to spread a little happiness.
Kate, nonsense. Were the logo with pride. Thongs would be good. Just make sure you get my size right. I take medium on the hips, extra large in the pouch.
Alas, I appeared in Sir Iain of Dale's book so don't qualify.
(I was somewhere between 501 and 1200 it seems so got a line entry in a list. Or more likely, he just screen dumped his links list).
Chin Up. Those are just wanky political blogs. Yours is streets ahead of that ugly profession. Give me thongs and jocularity any day.
Seriously I will be putting your badge on my blog as a sign on support for high quality non wanky political blogs.
Is Iain Dale gay perhaps?
Shades, some might argue that your comment is outrageous, in that it implies Dale has both the requisite technical knowledge and sufficient respect for methodological rigour in drawing up such lists to do such a thing.
Although of course your own august pages are entirely there on merit :)
Shades, I agree with Ian. It's a terrible thing to say. I'd never say such a thing. No. Never...
Colin, you are right, though I just wanted to feel loved. Many thanks for taking up the cause. I've added you to my blogroll as a sign of comradeship.
Ian, I honestly didn't know if the PRINTSCRN button still functioned. Or at least it doesn't on my keyboard. So long since I've tried to use it.
You make my list of top 100 blogs everyday.
Chip, I think Ian is damning the other Dale with faint praise.
Print Screen doesn't actually print, it screen grabs and puts it in the clipboard so you can turn it into a pretty picture. (Alt print screen just copies the current highlighted window if you want less). If you open Paint and do a paste (control V), you can tell that your key does actually work. (Even if you don't care).
Ooh, sorry, I came over all techie there.
By the way, you might not say such a thing, but the Mediocracy blog has, big time.
Chip,
Our blog does not get the accolades it clearly deserves!
Charles, you're so right. Which is why I've just added you to my blogroll. Remember: revolutions start with a single gunshot.
Fantastic idea. And then I will start another list for everyone left, and those people can have logos which say "Iain Dale has never heard of me and Chip Dale thinks my blog is shabby, but Clare said I could have this logo if I gave her twenty pence and a tube of Smarties! Result!"
