Very Funny...

Yesterday, I mentioned facetiously in the comments to my previous post that somebody would need a good arm to get a daffodil to land on the window to our Velux windows. This morning, I was sitting here replying to an email when I heard something hit the window. I look up and see this:

Whichever one of you is the joker, I'd like to shake your hand. You made me laugh so hard, I burst the seam on my thong.

It almost certainly wasn't me. As I only found you today.

Well, that rules you our Jamie (nice of you to find me, by the way).

The rest of you are still daffodil throwing suspects... Now which one of you will own up?

It wasn't me. But you knew that. The Baroque throwing arm is an oxymoron.

Perhaps it was the ghost of Wordsworth, attracted by your love of his work?

Oh now, Mutterings, you've just brought a tear to my eye. Old Bill dropped me a daffodil from heaven and it landed on my Velux window? I feel moved to write poetry about it.

I wandered lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o'er Velux roller blind,
When all at once I heard a sound,
Of some waggish knave chucking bloody daffodils…

I thought you'd like it.

Ah, Trixy! It's so obvious now! I should have thought it was you. Many thanks. I just hope you didn't hurt your arm. It must have taken some effort, throwing that daffodil on the top of a five floor building.
